When we arrived at Beaches Resort in Negril, we were offered a cool towel and asked to sanitize our hands. The Jamaican government is controlling the reopening of the resorts in stages, and will only let them utilize 40 percent of their rooms at this time. There are sanitizing stations all over the resort, and before you enter any building or room, you are asked to sanitize your hands. All of the restaurants require reservations for dinner. In the buffet restaurant, you tell the servers what you would like and they make your plate for you. All of the staff are wearing masks, and there are signs all over the resort requesting guests to wear them as well, but it is not enforced. Everything is sanitized between the guests’ usage, even the water sports equipment. I feel very comfortable in the cleaning protocols in place here at Beaches Negril.
