Interesting Fact – Tennessee Volunteer Fan
If I could go anywhere and do anything, where would I go and what would you do?
I want to do a Trans Atlantic sailing on Cunard’s Queen Mary 2, then sail the Rivers in Europe thru France and Germany for 2 weeks and fly back First Class.
My Specialty is helping people find that right vacation.
I also help with our Incentive Group business which we have been told by several of our incentive group clients – that we pay attention to every detail and make sure each and every one of their clients feel welcomed and have a great time–and why? because I think that the purpose of our lives are to be happy!
I started working for Tennessee Airways at age 20 at the Knoxville Airport. When I moved to Greenville, I went to work for Travel Agents International on Woodruff Road where I started my career as a travel advisor. In 1991 I helped open Travel Group, the 1st commission only agency in Greenville. My Friend Lynne and I are now buying Travel Agents International where I started my career 40 years ago. What an opportunity!!!
Interesting Fact : I went through a dare devil time in my 30’s -sky dive, scuba dive, bungee jump, and drove a race car.
If I could go anywhere? I would go back to New Zealand. I enjoyed the people and the scenery so much. The people were so nice and the scenery was so varied and breath taking. I would like to take a few months to really learn both the North and South Island.
I specialize in groups, mostly Incentive groups, but I book all types of groups.
I graduated college with a psychology degree in 1985, and that summer took a new course at our local Technical school on How to be a Travel Agent. I got a job a few months later as a travel advisor and I believe I use my psychology degree every day!
If I could do anything? I would love to be a time traveler. Imagine seeing Da Vinci & Michelangelo paint/sculpt/ breath, visit Egypt, Peru, Xian China, Mexico to discover their building secrets, hitch a ride with Columbus then on the Mayflower, stand on the bow of the Titanic(before the iceberg), island hop ancient Hawaii, peak in while Jefferson & Franklin design our government, hike with Lewis & Clark, discover the US with the native Americans, crisscross Europe to scope out the historic buildings, events, architecture etc. from their inception; so many places, so little time…
I’m a jack of all travels but I relish the excitement of helping people craft the trip of their dreams which allows me to share in their experience. There is never a dull travel moment around our office!
I was very fortunate that our parents managed to plan fun family vacations for us so my love of travel started early. The ‘aha’ moment was a whirlwind group tour of Europe with my brother. That pretty much sealed the deal on my profession and I started out part time with an agency while still in college. The rest is history and so far so good because there are still plenty of places left on my bucket list!
My first choice of where I would like to go would be to explore Alaska by train! I would love to see the wildlife and Grand Scenic Glaciers and snow capped mountain peaks again.
My second choice would be to tour Europe by train. I would love to see the Highlands in Scotland and castles in Ireland.
My Third choice would be visit Australia and New Zealand. I would love to see the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and the Fiordland in New Zealand.
I specialize in booking honeymoons. All of my honeymooners want an all-inclusive, romantic resorts such as the AM Resorts or Sandals in the Caribbean or Mexico. I also book a lot of cruises.
I became a travel advisor by working with my sister who owned and operated her own travel agency. With her guidance and many years of experience in the travel industry, she lead me on the path to becoming the travel advisor that I am today.
My ultimate travel goal would be to experience an Africa culture and safari tour. I’ve always been intrigued with diverse wildlife and the history Africa has to offer. My wish is to explore clay villages, ancient ruins, deserts and safaris; while learning about their traditions and enriched history. Places like Tanzania, Egypt, South Africa, Botswana, Rwanda and Morocco would offer the most breathtaking highlights on my wish list.
My specialty is Destination Weddings, Cruises, Family and Group Vacations. This includes romantic vacations, guided-expeditions, golf trips, culinary vacations, church outings and last-minute getaways.
Weddings are the most beautiful occasion to celebrate; especially destination weddings. After planning my wedding several years ago in Dominican Republic, I soon found myself planning weddings for others and discovered this was my niche. Traveling, for me, has always been to experience the destination in its fullness. Discovering local history, culture, shopping and excursions will make any vacation a memorable one with the right planning and knowledge of the destination. My travel planning has always allowed me to share these experiences with clients; to ensure them a safe and fun vacation. Caribbean travel has always been my most frequent travel destination that I hold close to my heart.
If I could go anywhere I would go to a semi-secluded beach to relax. I need at least one vacation a year where I get a spa service every day and relax on the beach.
I specialize in group and family travel. I love planning trips and helping people get to their ‘happy place’.
I run a small business that keeps me very busy but I also wanted to do something fun. Travel advising is something I can do from home on my own schedule.
I grew up in a travel family. My father was a travel agency manager and my two other brothers worked for the airline industry.
Needless to say, I traveled with them all the time growing up. Therefore, travel is in my blood. I worked with Deb, Lynne, and Annice in the early 90s, then I owned my own agency until after 911. After retirement I decided to go back to the industry and there is no better place than working with these 3 travel-crazy girls again! My specialty is sending groups to the Holy Land (until 2023, sigh!) and Asia is my turf. I have been selling Asia for 30 plus years!
Opened the agency in 1983. Travel has influenced my entire life. My parents met while traveling and I met my wife while we were both traveling. I planned my first trip at age 18 and I am still planning my trips today.
I traveled 3 months through Europe after college and met my future husband on a train in Spain. I lived in the Bahamas for 3 year and in Canada for 2 years.
Wherever you go, go with all your heart. ~ Confucius
